Seller Terms

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Seller Terms apply to anyone who uploads designs for sale on FanSourced.net ("Seller", "you"). They add to our Terms of Service, which also apply. If they conflict, these Seller Terms control for selling.

1. How selling works

You upload original artwork; FanSourced generates product mockups, lists your design, takes payment from buyers through our payment processors, and has each order printed and shipped on demand by our fulfillment partner (currently Printful). You do not hold inventory or ship anything yourself. FanSourced acts as a marketplace and limited agent to collect payments on your behalf.

2. Your intellectual property warranties — you take full risk

You must own, or have a valid license to, every element of every design you upload. By uploading you represent and warrant that:

  • the design is your original work, or you hold written permission covering print-on-demand merchandise for every third-party element (artwork, photos, fonts licensed for commercial use, etc.);
  • the design does not use official league, team, or school logos, wordmarks, mascots, uniforms, or trade dress, or any player's name, number-plus-name combination, likeness or signature, unless you have a license from the owner — referring to a city, color scheme or general sport is fine; copying marks is not;
  • the design does not infringe any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, privacy right or other right, and does not violate any law or our content rules;
  • your titles, tags and descriptions are accurate and do not suggest an official or endorsed product.

You will promptly provide proof of a license if we ask for it.

You bear sole responsibility and the full risk for your content. You alone decide what you upload, and you are solely responsible for every design, title, tag, description, image and store element you submit ("Seller Content") and for any claim that it infringes or violates any trademark, trade dress, copyright, right of publicity or privacy, or other right of any third party. FanSourced does not create, pre-approve or license Seller Content, does not verify that you hold the rights you claim, and does not take on any of that risk by hosting, displaying, printing or selling your designs.

Warnings at upload. If our screen warns that a design may resemble a protected trademark or copyright and you choose to upload, edit or publish it anyway by ticking the acknowledgement, you confirm that you have the rights to everything in it and you do so entirely at your own risk. The warning, your acknowledgement, and a design passing the screen are not legal advice, clearance or approval by FanSourced or any rights holder. Warned designs may be flagged, removed or taken down at any time, with or without notice, and the remedies in Sections 5 and 6 apply.

3. License to FanSourced

You grant FanSourced and its fulfillment partners the license described in Section 4 of the Terms of Service, including the right to resize, crop, recolor for print requirements, and place your design on products and mockups, and to show your listings and display name in marketing.

Changes effective October 21, 2026

Summary of changes (effective for orders paid on or after October 21, 2026):

  • the platform fee rises from 13% to 15% of the item price;
  • the payment processing fee on your items is deducted from your earnings;
  • lost chargebacks on your items are split 70% to you and 30% to FanSourced;
  • the sales tax and fees our print partner (Printful) charges on producing and shipping your items are deducted from your earnings as part of production cost;
  • the minimum price is the lowest price at which you still earn at least $0.01 per item after all of the above (and FanSourced's fee covers its own costs); you can set any price at or above it.

Orders paid before October 21, 2026 keep the rules recorded when they were paid (13% fee, FanSourced pays processing and absorbs chargebacks as described below). If you don't agree with these terms, you can unpublish your listings or close your seller account at any time; continuing to list designs means you accept them.

4. Pricing, the 15% platform fee and payouts

  • You set your retail price (at or above the minimum price below). The buyer pays that price (plus any shipping and tax shown at checkout); buyers never pay the platform fee.
  • FanSourced charges a platform fee of 15% of the item price for each item sold in orders paid on or after October 21, 2026 (13% for orders paid before then). The fee is deducted from your payout only after the order has been fulfilled (produced and shipped by our print partner). Orders that are canceled or fully refunded before fulfillment carry no fee. If part of an order is refunded before it ships, the fee is charged only on the unrefunded portion; if an order is refunded after fulfillment, the fee on the refunded share is returned to you. Either way the fee uses the rate recorded when the order was paid.
  • What the platform fee covers. The 15% platform fee helps cover FanSourced's monthly costs and day-to-day operations — website hosting and storage, secure checkout, the systems that send your orders to our print partner and track them, customer and seller support, and ongoing improvements to the site and the Design Studio — so the site stays fully functional and selling here stays as easy and enjoyable as possible. The fee is taken only after an item is fulfilled. The production cost, the card / PayPal processing fee and the print partner's sales tax on your items are separate from the platform fee and also come out of your sale price, as described below.
  • Fee history: the platform fee was 15% until October 17, 2026, 13% from October 17, 2026 and is 15% for orders paid on or after October 21, 2026. The rate is fixed when an order is paid, so an order always keeps the fee recorded at the time of purchase. Your sales breakdown and statements show the rate actually applied.
  • Payment processing fees (orders paid on or after October 21, 2026). Our payment processors charge a fee on every payment (currently Stripe 2.9% + $0.30 and PayPal 3.49% + $0.49 per payment for U.S. cards; their rates may change). For each order containing your items, your items' share of that fee is deducted from your earnings. The share is the order's actual processing fee as reported by the processor (or its standard rate if the actual fee isn't available) multiplied by your items' share of the order's item total, so it includes the fee on the shipping and tax the buyer paid; when an order contains items from several sellers, each pays only their own share. The processing share is charged once, when the item is fulfilled, and is shown as its own line on your sales breakdown and monthly statement. It is not charged for orders canceled or fully refunded before fulfillment. Processors do not return their fee when a payment is refunded, so the processing share is not returned if a fulfilled order is refunded later. FanSourced Originals items are FanSourced's own and their share is paid by FanSourced.
  • You cover production costs. FanSourced collects the buyer's payment (your price plus any shipping) and pays our print partner (Printful) to produce and ship the item. For each item sold, the print partner's production cost for that exact product, size and color is deducted from your earnings when the item is fulfilled. We record the cost from the print partner's order when it is created (or its current catalog price if that isn't available). No production cost is charged for orders canceled or fully refunded before production. Once an item has been produced, its production cost is not returned if the order is refunded later. For orders paid on or after October 21, 2026, production cost also includes your items' share of any sales tax and extra fees the print partner bills on the order (for example sales tax on production and shipping, retail delivery fees or embroidery digitization), split across the order's items by production cost and shown as a "Printful sales tax & fees" line. If FanSourced obtains a resale exemption so the print partner stops charging sales tax, that amount drops to $0 automatically.
  • Shipping. The shipping the buyer pays is passed through to cover the print partner's shipping charge. If the print partner's actual shipping charge for an order is more than the buyer paid, you cover the difference; it is deducted from your earnings when the order ships (split across the items in the order by sale price) and shown as a "shipping shortfall" line on your sales breakdown and statement.
  • How your earnings are calculated: net earnings per item = sale price − production cost − the platform fee (calculated on the sale price) − your processing fee share and Printful sales tax & fees share (orders paid on or after October 21, 2026) − any shipping shortfall − refunds on that item (+ any platform fee returned on refunds) − any chargeback charge (+ any chargeback returned). Your dashboard shows this breakdown for every sale and your monthly statement includes production-cost, processing-fee and chargeback lines.
  • Minimum price. You can set any price at or above the minimum price. The minimum is the lowest price at which, for the most expensive size or color you offer for that product, you still earn at least $0.01 per item after the production cost, the 15% platform fee, the largest processing fee the item could carry (the higher of Stripe's and PayPal's rates on the price plus a $10.00 shipping allowance) and an estimate of the print partner's sales tax (8% of production cost plus the same shipping allowance), and at which FanSourced's platform fee also covers its own expected costs (so neither of us loses money on a sale). Any shipping shortfall, refund or chargeback is not included. The studio shows the minimum ("you'd earn $0.01") and your estimated earnings per size while you type the price, and new or edited prices below the minimum can't be saved or published. We never change your prices for you. If an existing listing is below the minimum (for example because this minimum took effect or the print partner raised its prices), we flag it on your dashboard. Buyers can't check out items priced below the minimum until you raise the price. At any time, checkout may decline an order whose prices would not cover FanSourced's production, payment and tax costs for that order; nothing is charged in that case.
  • The production-cost and shipping rules apply to orders paid on or after October 17, 2026; the processing-fee, chargeback-split and 15% fee rules apply to orders paid on or after October 21, 2026. Earlier orders are not changed.
  • When you're paid: rolling, per sale. Each sale becomes payable and is sent 14 days after the order is delivered, typically within 1–2 business days after that hold ends. There is no monthly calendar and no minimum balance: every sale is paid on its own once its hold ends. The hold allows for defect claims, refunds and chargebacks. Until we receive the carrier's delivery date, we treat delivery as the ship date plus 14 days. Sales that are canceled or refunded aren't paid, and sales with an open refund request or a chargeback/dispute stay on hold until it is resolved. If deductions (for example a refund or chargeback on an earlier sale) leave your payable total at $0.00 or less, it carries forward to your next payout. Your dashboard shows the date each sale will be paid. You must provide accurate payout and tax information before you can be paid; until your payout settings are complete, payable sales wait for you.

  • Payout fees (you cover them; FanSourced pays $0 per payout). The cost our payout provider charges us to send you money is deducted from that payout, and your dashboard and statements show it as a payout fee. PayPal Payouts: 2% of the amount sent, at most $1.00 for a US PayPal account and at most $20.00 for a PayPal account outside the US. Payouts are sent in US dollars, so there is no currency-conversion cost on our side; if you receive, convert or withdraw in another currency, PayPal charges any conversion fee to you directly. Stripe: 0.25% + $0.25 per payout plus 0.25% of the amount, and $2.00 for each calendar month in which you receive a Stripe payout (charged at most once per calendar month, with your first Stripe payout that month; nothing in months you aren't paid). Stripe 1099 forms: if Stripe files a Form 1099 for you, its filing costs are yours: $2.99 for the IRS e-file, $1.49 for each state it is e-filed with, and $2.99 if a paper copy is mailed to you. They are deducted from your first payout after the forms are filed (carried forward if that payout doesn't cover them) and shown on your dashboard. Stripe month-end: Stripe bills the $2.00 for each month in which a Stripe payout is sent to your bank, which can be the month after we send the transfer. We check your Stripe payouts daily; for any month with a payout to your bank in which no $2.00 was deducted, that month's $2.00 is deducted from your next payout (carried forward if needed) and shown on your dashboard. To keep this rare, Stripe transfers are not sent in the last 3 days of a calendar month (UTC); earnings that become payable then are sent on the 1st. Fees are rounded up to the next cent, and the amount sent is the largest amount whose fee is fully covered by your payable total (any leftover of a cent or so is part of the fee). If your payable total doesn't cover the payout fee, nothing is sent and it carries forward to your next payout. If PayPal or Stripe change their fees, we will update these terms and the deduction.

  • How US sellers are paid. Sellers in the United States choose one payout method on their dashboard: PayPal Payouts (to a PayPal Premier or Business account; you must give us a valid IRS Form W-9 before your first payout, and PayPal's payout fee is deducted from your payout, see Payout fees) or Stripe (to your US bank account through a Stripe Express account; Stripe collects your identity, bank and tax details during setup, so no separate W-9 is needed, and 1099 forms are provided through Stripe where applicable; Stripe's payout and 1099 filing costs are deducted from your payout, see Payout fees). Stripe payouts are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe payouts may show as “coming soon” until they are available; you can use PayPal Payouts in the meantime. All payouts are in US dollars.

  • Chargebacks and payment disputes (orders paid on or after October 21, 2026). If a buyer disputes a payment with their card issuer or PayPal and the dispute is lost (or PayPal reverses the payment), you are charged 70% of your item's share of the amount returned to the buyer plus 70% of your item's share of the processor's dispute fee (currently $15 at Stripe; PayPal charges a fee on card chargebacks); FanSourced absorbs the other 30%. Your item's share of the amount returned is that amount multiplied by your item's price divided by the order total; the dispute fee is split across the order's items by price. Items that were canceled before fulfillment carry no share of the amount returned. The charge is recorded on your balance (it can make your balance negative) and is deducted from your current or future payouts. If the dispute is later won (or the payment is reinstated), the charge is returned to you in full. The platform fee on a disputed sale is not returned. Disputes on orders paid before October 21, 2026 are handled under the rules in force when the order was paid.
  • If a buyer is refunded because of a design problem (including an IP claim), a chargeback, or fraud, we may deduct the related amount from your balance or future payouts; for chargebacks on orders paid on or after October 21, 2026, the 70% / 30% split above applies unless the chargeback results from an IP claim or fraud on your part, in which case sections 5 and 6 apply.
  • Bundle discounts. FanSourced may offer buyers discounts (for example a multi-item "bundle & save" discount). Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, discounts apply only to FanSourced Originals items and are paid entirely by FanSourced; they never reduce your sale price, fee base or earnings.
  • You are responsible for your own income taxes. FanSourced may issue tax forms (such as Form 1099-K) where required by law.
  • Sellers outside the United States (including Japan). You can sell from Japan. Choose your country when you sign up (you can change it on your dashboard). Prices, fees, earnings and payouts are in US dollars, and the same 15% fee, production cost, processing fee and print-partner tax deductions apply. Japan orders carry our print partner's 10% Japanese consumption tax, so a listing priced right at its minimum may not be orderable to Japan; checkout never lets a sale leave you below $0.01. Payouts are sent by PayPal Payouts, in US dollars. To be paid you need a PayPal Premier or Business account that can receive payouts in your country; enter and confirm its email address, and confirm the account type, under Payout settings on your dashboard. Earnings can't be paid out until these settings are complete. PayPal's payout fee is deducted from each payout (see Payout fees), and any fees PayPal charges you to receive, convert or withdraw the money are yours; FanSourced does not refund them. Instead of a W-9, you must give us a valid IRS Form W-8BEN (individuals) or W-8BEN-E (entities) before your first payout; you may claim benefits under the U.S.–Japan income tax treaty where you qualify. You are responsible for your own taxes and obligations in your country (for sellers in Japan, for example, income tax and consumption tax where they apply to you), and for complying with Japanese law that applies to you. The rolling 14-day post-delivery payout above applies to you too. Sellers outside the US are paid by PayPal Payouts only.

  • Designs that don't sell. If none of a design's products (tee, hoodie, hat, sticker or other) has sold once within 360 days of when the design was first published, we archive the whole design with all of its products: it's hidden from the shop, search, city and store pages, but nothing is deleted — your artwork, studio versions and past orders stay. We never archive individual products. One sale of any product on the design keeps the whole design up for good. Products you add to a design later share the design's 360 days, and editing or republishing doesn't restart them. Sales canceled or refunded before shipping and test orders don't count. From day 330 your dashboard shows the archive date and we email you once (one email listing all of your designs due that day); we never archive a design sooner than 30 days after that email. You can relist an archived design once from your dashboard, which brings back all its products and starts a new 360-day period; after that, contact support.

Seller FAQ: fees, processing, chargebacks and minimum prices

  • What do I earn on a sale? Price − production cost − 15% platform fee − your processing fee share − your share of Printful's sales tax & fees (for orders paid from October 21, 2026). Example: a $29.99 tee with a $11.92 production cost paid by card with $4.95 shipping: fee $4.50, processing about $1.31 (2.9% × $34.94 + $0.30), Printful sales tax about $1.35 (8% × $16.87, varies by state), you earn about $10.91.
  • What is the 15% platform fee for? It helps cover FanSourced's monthly costs and day-to-day operations — hosting and storage, secure checkout, order fulfillment systems, customer and seller support, and ongoing improvements — so the site stays fully functional and selling here stays as easy and enjoyable as possible. Production cost, processing fees and Printful's sales tax are separate and come out of your price. See What the platform fee covers.
  • When are fees taken? Only after the order ships. Canceled or fully refunded-before-shipping orders cost you nothing.
  • How low can I price? As low as the minimum shown in the studio: the price where you'd still earn $0.01 per item in the worst case. You pay the processing fee and Printful's sales tax on your items, so the minimum covers them too. We flag listings below it on your dashboard; we never change your price. A listing below the minimum can't be bought until you raise its price.
  • What happens on a chargeback? If the dispute is lost you pay 70% of your item's share of the lost amount and dispute fee; FanSourced pays 30%. If it's won, you get it back.
  • What happens if a design never sells? If none of its products has sold once in 360 days after the design was first published, the whole design (all its products) is archived — hidden, not deleted. One sale of any product keeps the whole design up. You'll see the date on your dashboard and get one email at day 330; you can relist the design once. Details.
  • Do buyer discounts come out of my earnings? No. The bundle discount applies to FanSourced Originals only and FanSourced pays for it.
  • Do the changes affect orders I already have? No. Orders paid before October 21, 2026 keep the 13% fee and old rules.

5. Takedowns and repeat infringers

If we receive a complaint about your design (through the on-site flag or a formal DMCA or trademark notice), we may hide or remove it right away, notify you, and hold related earnings. You may respond or submit a DMCA counter-notice as described in the IP policy. Accounts with three valid strikes in 12 months will be terminated; we may act sooner for willful infringement. Unpaid earnings from infringing sales may be forfeited and refunded to buyers.

What we may do about infringing items. If we believe in good faith that a design or listing infringes, or receive a claim that it does, we may, at our discretion and without liability to you: (a) remove, hide or disable the content and cancel unfulfilled orders for it; (b) withhold payouts tied to the affected items while the claim is pending; (c) claw back amounts already paid to you for infringing items, including refunds and chargebacks to buyers, by deducting them from your balance or future payouts or invoicing you; (d) apply amounts owed to us toward any damages, settlement, fees or costs the claim causes; and (e) suspend or terminate your account, including under our repeat-infringer policy. These rights survive the closure of your account.

Automatic screening. Uploads and listing edits (titles, descriptions, team fields, store text and the artwork itself) are automatically screened for team, league, college and brand names, logos, slogans, well-known characters, real people's names, and art that was previously removed. Designs that use the exact protected entity (for example an official team, league or university name or logo, or a mascot) are rejected. Designs that only resemble or allude to a protected mark can be uploaded after you read and accept a warning that they may be flagged and taken down; they are marked as warned and may be reviewed by our team at any time. Listings may also be held for review and kept off the marketplace until our team approves them. Screening is a convenience, not a clearance: it does not catch everything and passing it, or uploading after a warning, does not mean a design is non-infringing or approved by any rights holder. You remain solely responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, and we may still remove a listing later.

6. Indemnity and no liability for Seller Content

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless FanSourced.com (FanSourced), its owners, officers, employees, agents, successors and fulfillment and payment partners from and against all claims, demands, suits and proceedings, and all resulting damages, judgments, awards, settlements, losses, liabilities, fines, fees, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' and experts' fees and costs of investigation), arising out of or relating to your designs, listings or Seller Content, any actual or alleged infringement or violation of any trademark, trade dress, copyright, right of publicity or privacy, or other third-party right by your Seller Content, any breach of your warranties above, or your violation of law. This applies whether or not our screen warned you, whether or not you acknowledged a warning, and whether or not we removed the item. We may control the defense and settlement of any claim with counsel of our choice at your expense, and you will cooperate with us; you may not settle a claim that affects FanSourced without our written consent.

No liability for infringement in Seller Content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FanSourced is not liable to you, to rights holders or to anyone else for any infringement of trademarks, copyrights, rights of publicity or other rights in or by Seller Content, or for any loss you suffer because content was removed, a payout was withheld or clawed back, or your account was suspended or terminated for an IP reason. FanSourced acts as a hosting service and marketplace for content its Sellers choose to upload. Nothing in these Seller Terms limits the protections FanSourced has as a service provider under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) or other law, and our notice-and-takedown and repeat-infringer procedures continue to apply. This section and your indemnity survive the end of your account.

7. Quality, mockups and customer issues

Mockups are illustrations; printed results may vary slightly. Upload high-resolution files suitable for print. Refunds and reprints for defective items are handled under our Refunds & Returns policy; refunds for print defects caused by the print partner do not reduce your payout, while refunds caused by your file quality or listing errors may.

8. Ending selling

You can remove your designs or close your account at any time; orders already paid will still be fulfilled and paid out under these terms. We may suspend or end your selling privileges under the Terms of Service, including by deactivating your profile (which hides your profile page and all of your designs from the Site) or removing it. Profiles with no live designs are not shown publicly. If your profile is deactivated or removed, paid orders are still handled under these terms and records of your sales are kept as required by law.

9. Independent relationship

You sell as an independent business, not as an employee, partner, joint venturer or franchisee of FanSourced. You may not make commitments or statements on FanSourced's behalf. Nothing in these terms guarantees any level of sales, traffic or placement for your designs; we may change how listings are ranked, featured or displayed.

10. Sales tax collected on your sales

Where the law treats FanSourced as a marketplace facilitator, FanSourced calculates, collects and remits sales tax on sales made through the Site; that tax is charged to the buyer, is not part of your earnings, and is never subject to the platform fee. You remain responsible for any other taxes on your own income or business.

11. Liability, disputes and governing law

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution and governing-law provisions of the Terms of Service (Sections 11, 12 and 14) apply to selling and to these Seller Terms. In particular, FanSourced is not liable for lost profits or lost sales caused by outages, listing removals made in good faith, print partner delays, or payment processor holds.

12. Changes to these Seller Terms

You agree to these Seller Terms and the Terms of Service by ticking the box when you create a seller account or publish a design. We record each agreement (account, version, date and time, IP address and browser user agent). You must re-confirm them every 30 days and whenever they change before you can publish or republish; your existing listings stay live in the meantime.

We may update these Seller Terms. For material changes (including any change to the platform fee) we will post the new terms here with a new "Last updated" date and, where practical, notify you at the email on your account before the change takes effect. Changes apply only to orders paid after the effective date. Continuing to list designs after a change means you accept the updated terms. The most recent material change is described in Changes effective October 21, 2026.

13. Your store page

You may customize a public store page (name, handle, tagline, about text, banner, logo, accent color, social links and featured designs). Everything on your store page is your User Content and is covered by your warranties in Section 2, the screening described above, and the Terms of Service.

  • No impersonation or implied endorsement. Store names, handles, banners and logos may not use a league, team, player, school or brand name or logo, or suggest that your store is official, licensed or run by FanSourced or any team.
  • Links. Social links must point to your own profiles on the listed services. We may remove links that are misleading, unsafe or used for off-platform sales of FanSourced listings.
  • Handles. Handles are not property and can't be sold or transferred. We may reserve, reclaim or change a handle (for example to resolve an impersonation or trademark complaint); when you change your own handle, old links may redirect to your new one for a period of time, and a released handle may become available to others.
  • Moderation. Anyone can report a store page. We may reset store content (banner, logo, text, links and featured picks) or hide a store page without notice when we believe it breaks these terms; your listings are handled separately under Section 5 and the Terms of Service.
  • Unused images. Banner and logo images you upload but don't save, or that are replaced or reset, may be deleted from storage.
