Print on demand fan apparel, no upfront cost
Print on demand, without a first inventory bill
Print on demand means the item is made after someone orders it. On FanSourced you do not pay to open a shop, you do not pay to use the Design Studio, and you do not buy a stack of shirts before the first sale. You publish a design. Printing and shipping are handled when the order is fulfilled. Packages go to the United States and Japan.
Create a seller account, build the design or upload art, choose products and colors, and set a price at or above the studio minimum. Publish. Products are a T-shirt, a hoodie, an embroidered hoodie, a hat, or a sticker. Hats and the embroidered hoodie are stitched rather than printed.
No upfront cost, then 85% of the item price
There is no upfront production invoice. Making the item is paid out of the sale price, not before anyone orders. You keep 85% of the item price. The platform fee is 15% of that price, and it is charged only after the sale is fulfilled. It is not taken if the order is canceled before it ships. Production cost, card or PayPal processing, and the print partner’s sales tax also come out of your price. Buyers are not charged the platform fee on top of the price you set. The studio estimate is the number to use for your file, because 85% of the price is not profit after those costs.
The Seller Terms show a $29.99 tee with $11.92 of production leaving about $10.91 after the 15% fee, processing, and print-partner sales tax. For embroidery, digitization is counted inside production cost on each item, so you are not billed for it before a sale. Earnings are sent about 14 days after the order ships. A canceled or refunded sale is not paid. Accounts created on or before November 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET pay a 0% platform fee on orders in their first 30 days. After that, the fee is 15%.
The free studio, your first design, and a $10 referral
The Design Studio is free in the browser and needs a seller account. Templates, text, shapes, your images, and Sports clipart are included. The clipart is original FanSourced art, not team logos, and Recolor changes a piece’s color. Studio help covers the print area, mockups, and which products stitch.
Every new seller’s first design gets featured on our homepage and on X. The homepage shows first designs from sellers who joined in the last 30 days. To refer someone, send /sell?ref= plus your username. When their first sale is fulfilled, $10 is added to your payout balance once, about 14 days after that order ships. It does not pay for your own link, the same account or email, or a first sale canceled or refunded before the credit is paid. The platform fee does not apply to the $10.
When this model fits
Use it if you want fan apparel in the catalog without funding a first print run. It is the wrong shop for official team, league, or school merchandise unless you hold a license. Original city and sports culture is what the catalog is for.
